On June 20, LEUC brought 25 colleagues from across Commission services on a field trip to TRANSFARM, KU Leuven’s research farm, for a first-hand experience of how innovation takes shape in the bio-economy. Wouter Merckx and Rita De Donder explained how TRANSFARM carries out research for a sustainable and circular bio-economy and translational biomedical research, while acting as a business incubator as well. It was an enriching evening full of animated discussions and showcases of homegrown innovations. Thanks a lot for everything to the fantastic TRANSFARM team!
